exclusive custom guided tours in southern africa

Southern Africa consists not only of a number of different countries, but also a diverse selection of climates. This gives rise to a fascinating biodiversity, perhaps expressed in its purest form in the Western Cape (South Africa) where the smallest of the world's Floral Kingdoms exists. This is due to the unique nature of the ocean currents which gives rise to this "Cape of Storms".

The lush forests of the Eastern Cape and the deserts of the Northern Cape, Namibia and Botswana, the jagged peaks of the Drakensberg in Lesotho and Natal, the soft white beaches of Mozambique and the desolation of the Skeleton Coast, the majesty of the Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe-Zambia border all combine to present this Southern Africa, which we at Travel Africa call home.

And if the landscape is varied, the population is more so. South Africa alone has eleven official languages, and many more tribes and cultures. The diversity is astonishing, ranging from cosmopolitan cities such as Johannesburg to the mud huts of Natal and Mozambique.
